Two villagers were confirmed dead as ten villagers were whisked away as bandits unleashed terror on communities of Gaye and Shangel in Danko Wasagu Local Government on Saturday.
“Five of the people they took with them are family members of a house member representing Wasagu in the state House of Assembly,” one of them said.
He said the hoodlums came in large numbers to attack Gaye and Shangel villages on Saturday.
“They took us unaware. We never expected they would come, we would have repelled the attacks. This is not the first time they are attacking communities in this area. We always stay guard against their attacks”,they explained.

He said the attack left people in the neighbouring communities in a panic mood.
“People are now moving from the communities to where they considered safer. We need soldiers to secure this area for us,” he added.
