2022 World Cup: Davido arrives Qatar for closing ceremony

Afrobeats super star, Davido has arrived in Qatar in preparation for his performance at the closing ceremony of the FIFA 2022 World Cup.

The United States born artiste was sighted alongside Ghanaian singer and Black Stars assistant coach, Stonebwoy and George Boateng respectively.

He will be performing for the second time since the tragic drowning of his son, Ifeanyi Adeleke in October.

The DMW’s boss appearance at the World Cup was first announced on Thursday, December 8 by Chinese businessman, Stephen Hung, via his Instagram story.

Hung related that Davido has been slated to perform at the closing occasion, noting he longed to see the singer.

Days later, affirming the 63-year-old Chinese billionaire, Chief Priest also with great excitement said Davido showcasing his talent at the grand finale.

Meanwhile, the talented singer was among the musicians who were billed to perform at the opening ceremony of the World Cup in November, but Davido, however, could not perform as a result of the tragic death of his 3-year-old son, Ifeanyi Adeleke who died on October 31st, 2022.
