The leader of Niger Delta People Salvation Front, Alhaji Mujahid popularly known as Asari Dokubo has condemned in a strong the term, the People’s Democratic Party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
Asari made this denigrating remark in an interview with Channels Television’s Usoh Chamberlain on its widely viewed morning programme, Sunrise Daily.
He noted that Atiku is the least competent among the four major candidates, Bola Ahmed (Lagos State); Kwankwaso (Kano State) and Peter Obi (Anambra State) who had in different times governed their respective states.
Asari described the Waziri of Adamawa as a ‘spare tyre’ without ‘executive power’ throughout his eight years as vice president to former president Olusegun Obasanjo.
The Rivers born Niger Delta agitator stressed that Atiku does not boast any marketable record compared to the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Asari further declared his support for the former Lagos State governor, adding that Tinubu is a politician with enviable legacies in governance coupled with the tradition of hunting best brains.
He also lambasted the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike for using miscreants to disrupt campaign activities of opposition parties in the oil-rich state, citing an instance of harassment of some PDP supporters in Omumma Local Government.
Asari further stated that, Wike, in attempt to cripple opposition in the state, started introducing several undemocratic executive orders to bar other parties from gaining access public facilities for electioneering campaigns.
