Ganiyu Saka Cook Olododo, member representing Ilorin East/South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives and candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) for the constituency has alleged opponent of dropping ‘festish items’ at his residence in GRA, Ilorin the capital city of Kwara.
The former Chief of Staff to ex-governor Bukola Saraki made this claim in a press release by the Director of Media and Publicity of Ganiyu Saka Cook Olododo Campaign Council, Ibrahim Sheriff, on Saturday.
The statement noted that a woman known to be a strong supporter of one of the SDP candidate rivals for the forthcoming general election was caught while dropping the charm at the entrance of the lawmaker’s residence at GRA, in Ilorin.
The statement read, “We hereby wish to inform the general public, that having realized their imminent defeat in the 25th February, 2023 elections, one of our opposing political party has resorted to diabolical means against the people of Ilorin East/South Federal Constituency and particularly, against Hon. (Dr) Abdulganiyu Saka Cook Olododo.
“It was a surprise to observe that a woman, dressed in pitch kaftan, who has now been identified as a staunch supporter of a National Assembly candidate, under one of our opposing parties in the coming election, was spotted dropping fetish items at the entrance of the residence of Olododo, located on Abdulrazaq road, GRA, Ilorin.
“The fetish items, believed to be targeted at harming our principal was dropped at his entrance on the evening of Saturday 4th February , 2023 at about 5pm by the said lady, who proceeded to the suspected candidate’s residence, who incidentally, is a neighbor to Olododo after dropping the fetish items at the latter’s residence entrance.
“We wish to alert the general public and security agencies about these political desperados in Kwara state, and also state that they should be put on watchlist for any possible attack, physical or spiritual on the SDP’s candidate or his supporters, before, during and after the 2023 elections.”
The release continued, “Even though our believe is in Almighty Allah, the Author and Finisher of our faith, we have reported the case at the Kwara State Police Command for necessary action, as we believe the usual suspects may also drop incriminating items at the residence or in the vehicles of our candidate(s) or their supporters. Hence, the need to hold them responsible.
“We urge the security agencies to be more vigilante than ever, and ensure the identified culprit is made to face the full wrath of the law, without fear or favor to any politician or political party.”
