The Chief Imam of Offa, Imam Muhideen Salman said Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s dissociation from self-serving politicians has paved way for his excellent performance in Kwara State.
The renown Islamic cleric stated this in Ilorin, on Thursday while deliverying his sermon at the special prayer to celebrate Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s victory at the presidential poll last Saturday.
Imam Salman said unnecessary demands from constituents are major reasons most politicians fail to deliver on their campaign promises when finally elected.
He, however, applauded Governor Abdulrazaq for not giving in to distractions, which has helped him in recording tremendous achievements.
The religious leader lamented that most Nigerians prefer stomach infrastructure to developmental initiatives, thereby urging the people to encourage public officers to build life-transforming infrastructures instead of giving them handouts.
“If Governor had listened to trivial and self-centered requests from people, he would not have performed well in education, health, good road network and several other people oriented projects he has executed and still doing” he said.
