Again, Wizkid slams Nigerian rappers

Nigerian international hip-hop artist, Ayodeji Balogun known as Wizkid on his Snapchat account has once again called out Nigerian rappers to maintain claim that rap is dead and boring.

The superstar had earlier berated Nigerian rappers for lack of musical creativities, noting that they continue to rap on the same beats and style.

Boasting about his musical genre, Wizkid said Afrobeats is the order of the day.

In his words; cI don’t listen to rap – that shit is boring to me. It’s d£ad now, it’s tired. These guys do the same shit, rap on the same beats and the same flows.”

His statement provoked a lot of reactions among rappers, while some throw shades at the Grammy award winner, some argued rap might not music genre current time but it is still very not alive.
