House of Representatives member-elect for Ilorin East/Federal Constituency, Hon. Ahmed Yinka Aluko, on Tuesday, felicitated the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates for their victory in the February 25 general elections.
Aluko, therefore, noted that the party’s triumph was occasioned by its wide acceptance by the Kwaran populace and the scintillating records of AbdulRahman-led administration in the state.
“I heartily rejoice with the APC candidates on their much deserved victory on February 25 general elections last Saturday. It is the victory that belongs to the people. Particularly, I felicitate with the senator-elect for Kwara Central Senatorial District, Mall. Saliu Mustapha, and my counterpart, the House of Representatives member-elect for Ilorin West/Asa Federal Constituency, Mall. Muktar Shagaya.
“I also like to join our other party’s candidates, who have each victoriously clinched their respective seats in Kwara South and Kwara North Districts, including Senator Sadiq Umar and Senator Oyelola Ashiru, among other APC House of Representatives members across the state.
“I would like to acknowledge Mall. Saliu Mustapha, the Turaki of Ilorin, for his support during the electioneering activities, as well as the party and the candidates. And as I have reiterated before now, the victory belongs to the people, and deliberately, it is a show of the renewed hope and confidence they have reposed in our individual and our party.
Aluko further admonished the party’s candidates not to renege on carrying out their principal responsibilities to their people who entrusted their mandate in the politicians’ hands, he added, “We must work to improve the lives of our people and invest heavily in their welfare.”
