House of Representatives Member-elect for Ilorin East/South Federal Constituency, Hon. Ahmed Yinka Aluko, has rejoiced with Bola Ahmed Tinubu for emerging as the president-elect in the just concluded February 25 general elections last Saturday.
Aluko congratulated the former governor of Lagos State in a statement released by his media office Wednesday, March 1, in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital.
He, therefore, praised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for ensuring a free, fair, and credible election, further advising Nigerians to accept the results of the polls as officially announced by INEC or resort to legal redress in the case of any electoral malpractice.
He expressed hope that the former and two-term governor of Lagos State will run a transparent and all-inclusive government irrespective of political affiliations, religious beliefs, or ethnic identity.
The Ilorin born politician also revealed that every presidential candidate always counted on the support of Kwara to emerge victorious, pledging that the president-elect will continue to enjoy support of the people of the state.
Aluko, however, called on elected officials across various political parties to serve the people in good faith and not to betray the trust they repose in them.
