Member-elect, House of Representatives for the Ilorin East/South Federal Constituency, Ahmed Yinka Aluko has rejoiced the with the presiding Justice of the Court of Appeal (Ilorin Division) Justice Ahmad Belgore on the occasion of his retirement.
The former adviser to Kwara State Governor described the legal icon as “a great Ambassador of the Ilorin Emirate and Kwara State as a whole” who spent his services years promoting fairness, impartiality and truthfulness.
“On behalf of the good people of Ilorin East/South Federal Constituency, I join the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mall Abdulrahaman AbdulRazaq, the Emir of Ilorin, Alh. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari (CFR) and the entire great people of the Ilorin Emirate Council and the State to congratulate the eminent jurist, Ahmad Belgore, JCA on the occasion of his retirement after several years of glowing tenure on the bench and meritorious public service.
“The decades of your unblemished service to the country distinguished you as a just jurist and a great Ambassador of the Ilorin Emirate and Kwara State as a whole. As a legal luminary, you served diligently to ensure the home of learned silk and gown, which our community is known for is sustained. We are proud of you!
“Your principle of upholding standards of fairness and impartiality in discharging your duties, and consistent standing by the truth would forever remain a reference point in the country’s judiciary.
He, therefore, prayed Allah to bless the retired judge with long life filled with good health.
