The duo of American hip-hop stars, Bow Wow and Ja Rule could not hide their affection for the renowned Nigerian/West African music genre, afrobeats.
The two superstars in their separate interviews with Black Entertainment Television at the BET Awards on Sunday, spoke extensively on afrobeats as they claimed that the duo of Nigerian hip-hop stars, Burna Boy and Tems are some of the afrobeats singers they hold in high esteem.
Bow Wow said he in lo the vibe of afrobeats and how ladles dance to afrobeats songs.
He said:
“Anytime the ladies move to the songs, they are lit. I love the vibe. For me, I love my afrobeats when I’m like on the yatch and it’s like 7:30pm, the sun sets. I just love it. I like Burna Boy’s new record.”
Taking his turn to speak, Ja Rule maintained that he feels comfortable whenever he listens to afrobeats music.
Ja Rule said:
“I love Tems, I love Burna Boy. For me, it feels good. When I listen to the music, it feels like home.”
