Football Journalist, Fabrizio Romano on his verified Twitter account, revealed that Arsenal have presented a second bid for Dutch defender, Jurrien Timber.
Fabrizio also confirmed that North London side submitted an improved bid to Ajax on Monday, June 26 to sign the 22-year-old in the summer transfer window.
The Amsterdam based football club had last week rejected Arsenal’s initial £30million proposal, claiming that the bid fell short of their valuation for the talented defender who can operate as a centre back or right back.
According various sources, Ajax may eventually soft-pedal on the deal if Arsenal offers something close to their valuation, which is said to be in the region of £50 million.
Timber has set his mind on joining the English Club as reports emanated that he has agreed personal terms with Arsenal.
