Arsenal Football Club defeated the Brighton Albion to climb top of the English Premier League.

The Gunners continued their goal scoring streak as they found the back of the net three time against Roberto De Zerbi’s team on Saturday’s evening.

England attacker Bukayo Saka opened the scoring chart for the North London outfit in the 33rd minute of the encounter, after Ghanaian Tariq Lamptey committed an infringement against Gabriel Jesus inside their box, causing referee John Brooks to award the visitors with a penalty.

The first 45 minutes ended with Brighton showing a high level of resilience against gunners that have been fierce in the attack since the first minute of the game.

Arsenal, who looked unstoppable in the quest to win the 2023-24 EPL trophy, shattered the defence line of their hosts as Kai Havertz slotted in a subliminal passs from the Jorginho in the 62nd minute, taking his goal involvement to 14 in the EPL.

Belgian forward shocked his former employer when he outran Brighton defence to score his 12th goal of the season for the Gunners.

With this victory, Arsenal now top the English top flight with 71 points as Liverpool with 70 points face Manchester United to reclaim his top berth on Sunday.
