The Association of Kwara Online Media Practitioners, ASKOMP, has expressed appreciation to the Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association, IEYDA, for donating laptops to three of its members.

In a release on Saturday, January 27, 2024, ASKOMP Chairman Salihu Shola Taofeek described IEYDA’s benevolent act as a way of uplifting young entrepreneurs within the Ilorin Emirate and Kwara State.

The chairman said in the statement, “We receive the news of the donation of three laptops to our members by the Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association, IEYDA, with excitement. It shows Kwarans appreciate the good works our members are doing through journalism.”

He furthered that the kind gesture reinforced the role communal support plays in promoting effective media practice in the state.

“The laptops provided are expected to empower members in delivering quality online contents and contributing to the growth of online media in the state.” He added.

Taofeek maintained that the cultural association has been a serial supporter of ASKOMP, including COVID-19 palliatives and other frequent outreaches during festivities.

The beneficiaries include Just Event Online, SATCOM Media, and Shopen Online.
