Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) Atiku Abubakar, has on Monday, welcomed about 10,000 defectors from the All Progressives Congress, (APC) into the PDP in Nasarawa State.
Atiku, during the party’s presidential campaign rally in Lafia, commended the decampees for taking a bold step to dump the APC.
While faulting the current political dispensation over its failure to deliver the dividends of democracy to Nigerians, he promised to restore normalcy into governance when elected as president in 2023.
The former vice president also said youths across the 13 Local Government Areas of the state would be gainfully employed as his administration would gravitate the state towards economic prosperity.
“If I am elected as president of Nigeria in 2023, I will earmark $10bn to create job opportunities for the youth and women of our country.
“Let me also announce that my administration will construct a road that will link Nasarawa with neighbouring states. So, we want you all to give us your votes the way you gave us in the previous elections,” Atiku added.
