Some yet-to-be identified terrorists have stormed invaded Dorayi in Zaria Local Government Area of Kaduna State over the weekend, in the process, a Fulani Chief, Kewaye of Zazzau Emirate, Alhaji Shuaibu Mohammed and his four children were killed.
An eyewitness account confirmed to DAILY POST that the assailants totalling about five attacked his home in the early hours of Saturday.
The source maintained that, “the wife of the deceased, Malama Halima Shuaibu explained that her husband was brought out of his bedroom and shot twice on the head by the bandits; he died instantly.”
He therefore quoted the woman as saying the bandits searched every room in the compound one after the other and killed her four children together with their children.
The slain children, according to her, are identified as Adamu Shuaibu, Musa Shuaibu, Abubakar Shuaibu and Ibrahim Haruna, claiming that after attacking the compound, the bandits also rustled over 100 cattle.
While recounting the ordeal, the only survivor of the attack among the Ardo’s children, Abdurrahman Shuaibu, revealed that the bandits killed two other people while they were moving out of the community.
Commenting on the incident, DSP. Muhammad Jalige, the Kaduna State Police Public Relation Officer, disclosed that the DPO Zaria City has not briefed him about the attack.
The City Gazette recalls that gunmen attacked Dorayi Village sometime around April, 2022 killing one person and kidnapped a 15-year-old girl.
According to a reliable source, the name of the deceased are Alhaji Abdullahi Ardo, while his daughter, Mariya was kidnapped during the dastardly incident.
The source noted that the assailants wasted no time as they headed for his room and killed him. After that, they departed the community without further attacking any house or person.
He furthered that the reason for the attack might be to kidnap the Ardo himself but was shot following thought that he was trying to escape.
