Calvin Bassey has denied reports he is djmping Dutch outfit, Ajax Amsterdam this summer.
The Nigerian defender has caught the attention of the English Premier League club, Brighton & Hove Albion.
Bassey singed for Ajax from Scottish Premiership club, Glasgow Rangers last summer.
The Nigeria international experienced a mixed campaign at the club.
Bassey was a regularly starter for the former European champions in the first half of the campaign but slipped from the pecking order in the second part.
Despite being on the radar of Brighton, the left-back expreesed strong interest to further his career with Ajax.
“My intention was to return in peak condition. With a new coach at the helm, I’m determined to kick off on a positive note and hopefully make a significant impact. I’ve put in the hard work, and I’m confident it will pay off,” he told Ajax TV.
Bassey recorded one goal in 25 league appearances for Ajax last season.
