Benue commissioner, 3 others abducted

Some unknown gunmen have whisked away, Benue State Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Ekpe Ogbu.

The abduction took place at about 8:45pm on Sunday, December 4, 2022.

The politician was abducted alongside Honourable Agbo Ode, one of his in-laws and the driver.

A source revealed that victims were kidnapped along David Marks Farm, after Akpa Otobi while they were travelling from Otukpo to Utonkon in Ado Local Government Area of the state.

The source revealed that the commissioner grazed the thanksgiving ceremony, where Senator Abba Moro, representing Benue South Senatorial district, dedicated his newly inaugurated Campaign Council to God at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Otukpo and was heading back to his community in NDEKMA, Utonkon District of Ado LGA after the Church programme.

The abductee’s car was found at the scene of the incident and deposited at the Divisional Police office in Otukpo.
