The Saudi Authories have announced that the celebration of Eidul-Fitr would take place on Sunday, 30 March, 2025.
The announcement came after the crescent moon marking the beginning of Shawwal 1446 was sighted in Saudi Arabia on Saturday afternoon.
Haramain, a Saudi based media platform, also confirmed the report on its official X account.
“BREAKING NEWS | The crescent moon has been sighted in Saudi Arabia. #EidAlFitr will be celebrated on Sunday, 30th March 2025.
“May Allāh accept our siyām, qiyām & a’māl & may He allow us to witness many more Ramadāns in good health. Āmīn.”
Therefore, the development has marked the conclusion of the Ramadan fasting as muslim faithful will observe Eid al-Fitr.
Islam adherents worldwide are expected to comply with declaration.
Eidu-Fitr is one of the most remarkable occassions in Islam, observed with prayers, feasting, and charitable acts.
Though, muslim faithful in Nigeria await official communication from the Sultan of Sokoto, the country’s supreme religious authority.
