President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed his gratitude to the people of Kebbi state for solidly standing behind his administration since his first tenure in 2015 till date.
The Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari thanked Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu and the Emir of Gwandu, Alhaji Muhammadu Iliyasu Bashar in Birnin Kebbi on behalf of his principal on Sunday.
Professor Gambari conveyed the president message while visiting Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, at the Kebbi State Government House, from he paid homage to the monarch at the Abdullahi Fodio Palace.
The traditional ruler prayed for peace and security for the nation, beseeching the Almighty to continue to guide and protect her leaders.
While addressing journalists at the Government House, Birnin Kebbi, Professor Ibrahim Gambari said President Muhammadu Buhari ordered him to visit Kebbi state in order to show gratitude to the government and people of the state for throwing their weight behind his administration in the past eight years.
The former Minister of Foreign Affairs noted that aside the commendable reform in the agricultural sector which has brought significant food security, the Buhari-led Federal Government has scored a very high mark in the diversification of Nigeria’s economy for societal growth.
Afterwards, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu hosted Professor Gambari at the Government House, Birnin Kebbi.
