Nigeria’s Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu with stage name Burna Boy and Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe also known as Ayra Starr have emerged the singers of the year on the Premium streaming platform, Spotify.
It would be recalled the year that Burna Boy had in 2022 taken the music industry by storm when he claimed the number one spot of the most streamed artist in Nigeria.
Burna Boy’s fame went global not only local this time around he topped the log of the most globally streamed artist from Sub-Saharan Africa.
His track ‘Last Last’ also takes the won the most streamed track and also the most hearted song in the Nigeria musical space.

Ayra Starr, the Spotify RADAR alumnus, also emerged the most streamed artist in the female category in Nigeria while Tems has the leading vibe among Nigeria’s musical exports in 2022. Tems’ ‘Wait for You’, a collaboration with Future and Drake was adjudged the top Nigerian song export of 2022.
Burna Boy, Asake and Wizkid emerged the top 3 most streamed artists in Nigeria in respective order. For the Top 3 most streamed female artists, Ayra Starr was top in the rating as Tems and Rihanna are rated respective runner ups.
In the Most Streamed Tracks category in Nigeria, Last Last by Burna Boy gets the highest rating with Peace Be Unto You by Asake and Bandana by Fireboy DML coming second and third in respective order.
For the Top 3 Most Streamed Albums in Nigeria, Burna Boy again is the winner with Love Damini album followed by Asake’s Mr Money With The Vibe and Fireboy DML’s Playboy.
For the year 2022, Last Last by Burna Boy, Bandana by Fireboy DML and Calm Down by Rema won the Most Hearted Songs category in Nigeria.
