Business owners lose millions as fire guts shops in Kwara

It was a day filled with unforgettable experience for business owners as inferno destroyed shops at Adeta Roundabout, Ilorin, Kwara State on Saturday.

The property destroyed ran into several millions of Naira.

It gathered that the incident occured in the early hours of Monday, resulting in massive destruction of valuable properties.

As at the time of filing this report, the exact cause of the incident could not be established. However, unverified reports revealed that the incident was caused by electrical issues.

Despite quick response from fire operatives and other emergency teams, the inferno caused a lot of destruction beyond repair.

A shop owner, Ola Money, in his lamentation, expressed his sadness over the inferno, adding that he has lost his investments to the unfortunate incident.

“I feel sober and devastated with this sad incident that happened to me and particularly, the much money I invest in the goods, solar power and other items, he noted.

Another shop occupant at the Adeta Roundabout, Islamiyat noted that she lost all her investments to the inferno.
