Nigeria Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Taoreed Lagbaja, on Tuesday night, passes away.
The 56 year-old dies in a Lagos Hospital where he has been admitted follwing a period of illness.
Lt. General Lagbaja is survived by his beloved wife, Mariya, and their two children.
He was appointed COAS by President Bola Tinubu on June 19, 2023.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, therefore, expressed his pain over the demise of the arrmy general.
In a press statement issued on Wednesday, Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, expressed the President’s heartfelt condolences.
