Popular Ilorin born skit maker, AbdulGafar Ahmed Abiola fondly referred to as Lawyer Kunle has on Friday, November 4, 2022 officially resigned his appointment as Naval personnel.
Cute Abiola made the announcement through his Facebook page, thanking the Nigerian Navy for instilling strict discipline in him through regimental processes.
The renowned comedian turned politician further expressed his profound gratitude to the Chief of Naval Staff and his senior colleagues for facilitating his career growth.
He, however, maintained that he was elated by the approval of his resignation letter by the Chief of Naval Staff to enable him concentrate on his dreams, noting that the leverage to allow him exit from the Nigerian Navy is a show of sensitivity from the management.
While appreciating the Nigerian Navy, he stressed that he will remain a part of the family, pledging to continue to positively represent the security organization either at home or abroad.
His resignation came barely few hours after he was appointed as Senior Special Assistant on Creative Industries to Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
Recall that last year, around November, cute Abiola was arrested and placed under custody by the Nigerian Navy for violating the Armed Forces Social Media Policy.
