In support of the vulnerable communities across Kwara state, Dangote Foundation has announced the donation of 25,000 bags of rice to the State Government.
The donation is aimed at providing relief to indigent citizens, especially during the period of Ramadan and Lent.
The governor therefore praised the Aliko Dangote Foundation for its unwavering humanitarian services, stressing that corporate social responsibility plays a critical role in addressing hardship.
Governor AbdulRazaq, who was represented by his Deputy during the flag-off ceremony, Elder Kayode Alabi, charged other individuals and corporate entities to emulate the philanthropic gestures of the Dangote Foundation in order to ease the suffering of the masses.
Alabi eulogised the Dangote Foundation’s kind gestures, saying that the donation would provide significant relief to vulnerable communities.
The Aliko Dangote Foundation’s donation is part of its nationwide food intervention program, targeting the distribution of one million bags of rice worth ₦16 billion across the country.
In Kwara State, the distribution will be carried out in partnership with the state government.
