Super Eagles interim coach Augustine Eguavoen has proposed some conditions for him to accept Super Eagles’ job on a permanent basis.
The former Nigeria international revealed that the conditions must be appropriate for him to become Super Eagles coach on a permanent basis.
Eguavoen is currently managing the senior national team as an interim for the fourth time.
The 58-year-old, who is also the technical director of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, took over the role in last month’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda.
The former Gent right-wing back will also be in charge of the team in the next games against the Mediterranean Knights of Libya.
Eguavoen is, however, considering signing a contract that would see him become the head coach of the three-time African champions on a permanent basis.
“It will be a tough one. You have to give me a long-term contract with patience and clauses in that contract because winning is not guaranteed every week or day,” he told Brila FM.
“You will give me time to tweak the team till I find what I want.”
