Emir of Ilorin lauds Kwara govt’s healthcare initiative

The Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Sulu Gambari has praised the Kwara State Government for its unwavering commitment to improving healthcare services in the state.

The Ministry of Health, in a statement issued by Press Secretary Falade Gbenga, disclosed that the campaign officially launched on Monday at the Emir’s Palace, where local traditional rulers were educated about the initiative.

The emir of Ilorin, in his comment during the sensitisation session at his palace on the nationwide Project 10 Million Medical Outreach, commended the state government’s efforts to provide quality healthcare services to residents.

He furthered that the initiative would cover screening for hypertension, diabetes, and other health conditions as a critical part of improving public health.

He also prayed for the success of the programme, led by the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Amina Ahmed El-Imam, and the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Alhaja Afusat Ibrahim.

While addressing the royal fathers, Dr. Amina Ahmed El-Imam revealed that the essence of the health screenings to citizens of the state.

“Many people are unaware that they have serious conditions like hypertension and diabetes. This outreach is essential for early detection and intervention,” Dr. El-Imam stated, highlighting the life-saving potential of Project 10 Million,” she maintained.
