Enugu Apc Reps candidate dies in auto crash

The All Progressives Congress candidate vying to represent Nsukka/Igbo-Eze South, Enugu Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives, Mr Ejikeme Omeje, has died in a car accident on Tuesday morning, November 8.

Omeje, a pharmacist and top APC chieftain in Enugu North Senatorial district lost his life along Eden Ani/Nsukka road, near El-Rina hotel, Nsukka.

At the time of filing this report, details about the incident is sketchy as police nor Federal Road Safety Corps have officially confirmed the accident, but eyewitnesses at the scene revealed that the accident occurred on his way back from Edem-Ani town after a political meeting.

It was gathered that he was driving alone along Erina-Edem Ani road when he suddenly lost control and his car entered inside bush where the car hit a tree on the process.

An eyewitness identified as Okechukwu Ezeme confirmed that Omeje was rushed to a hospital for emergency medical services where he died early due to serious injuries he sustained in the head.

All attempts to reach the State Police Public Relations Officer, Daniel Ndukwe were not successful.
