In their resolve to win the Premium League in the 2023-2024 season, Arsenal have defeated fellow London rivals, Tottenham Hotspur, at the White Heart Lane Stadium.

The London derby began with the hosts pressing arch-rivals in the first fifteen minutes of the game before Pierre Emile Hojbjerg helped the visitors open their scoring chart through a corner just 15 minutes in the match.

Not quite long after, the Gunners took the tally to three goals as Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz let Tottenham have a taste of what it looked like to be hungry for the EPL honour.

The match ended 3-0 in the first half, with the home team taking charge of the game.

The momentum changed when Arsenal Goalkeeper, David Raya, gave a free scoring opportunity to Christian Romero to bring his team back into the derby in the 64th minute.

The visitors took another deep breath when Declan Rice brought down defender Ben Davies, making referee Michael Oliver pointing to the penalty spot with Heung-Min Son, making the scoreline 2-3.

To remain in the title race, Arsenal had to parry Tottenham’s mounting pressure to get a win at the White Heart Lane.

Having played 35 games, the North London club now top the EPL table with 80 points followed by Manchester City, who have 76 points from 33 games.

The gunners will hope for a favourable result as City face Nottingham Forest this afternoon.
