EPL: Man United force Liverpool to 2-2 draw

Liverpool Football Club has dealt a huge blow in their contest for the 2023-24 English Premier League trophy.

Liverpool began the game with a resounding tempo as Darwin Nunez’s 23rd assist put unmarked Colombian Luis Diaz on the scoresheet, putting the Merseyside in front.

The visitors continued to pile enormous pressure on Manchester United throughout the first half of the game but were not clinical enough to double the tally.

Fortunately for the hosts, Jarell Quansah’s howler led to Bruno Fernandes’s 50-yard stunner just fifty minutes into the game to move United level.

In addition to his sterling display, England Kobbie Mainoo wrapped it up with a classic curl through a pass from Aaron Wan-bissaka to put the Red Devils ahead in the 67th minute.

Liverpool did not waste the chance salvage a point from the game when Wan-Bissaka lunged at Elliott to send the forward tumbling.

Referee Anthony Taylor ruled for a penalty, and Salah sent Andre Onana the wrong way.
