The English Football Association has placed an additional sanction on Everton.
The Toffees were handed a two-point deduction for another breach of the Premier League’s Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR).
In January, Everton had alongside Nottingham Forest, been charged for breaching PSR rules over a period ending with the 2022/23 season.
Forest was handed a four-point deduction and appealed against the sanction.
The club currently maintains 15th in the Premier League table, four points above the bottom three before the points deduction was announced.
They now stand behind Brentford in the 16th place on 27 points, two points, and two places above 18th-placed Luton.
Everton also suffered deducted 10 points in November for surpassing allowable deficit by £19.5m over a period ending with the 2021/22 season, which was reduced to six points after a successful appeal.
