An explosion suspected to be caused by dynamite has wreaked a havoc on the secretariat of the All Progressives Congress, APC, on Aba Road in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on Saturday’s morning.

The blast caused minor destructions, which affected the gate, doors, windows, and other property within the premises.

This marks the second attack on the APC secretariat, led by Chief Tony Okocha, within this year.

The explosion took place before the commencement of today’s council polls, as confirmed by the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission, which had distributed all sensitive materials to local government areas on Friday.

A clip going viral on the internet shows workers at the scene assessing the damage.

The Rivers State Police Command’s Spokesman, Grace Iringe-Koko, revealed that to receive any brief on the incident but would provide further information soon. The APC, as well has not published an official statement regarding the development.

More details to follow.
