Francesc “Cesc” Fàbregas Soler is a Spanish footballer from Catalonia Region with its capital in Barcelona.

He joined Barcelona Academy “La Masia” from Mataro in 1997 from where he moved to Arsenal youth in England as a 16-year-old in 2003.

He has 212 appearances for Arsenal, scoring 35 after spending eight years at the club before rejoining his boyhood club, Barcelona in 2011.

Fabregas returned to England to play for Gunners arch-rival, Chelsea in 2014.

He later went on to play for Monace in the French Ligue 1 before signing for Seria B aide, Como in 2022.

On July 1, 2023, the Spaniard announced his retirement from professional football after making just 17 appearances for Como in his first season.

The erstwhile Chelsea star featured 110 times for Spain, lifting the World Cup in 2010 after assisting Andres Iniesta’s winning goal in the final, as well as winning the European Championship in 2008 and 2012.
