Popular Yoruba actress, Iyabo Ojo, has responded to a viral video by Isaac Fayose that her restaurant in the Lekki axis of Lagos state rendered poor service to him.
Younger brother to former governor of Ekiti, Isaac Fayose claimed he ordered N7,000 pepper soup from Ojo’s restaurant but was served three bones instead of meat.
Isaac said he called to movie star to explain to her but she lambasted him in the process.
“I bought pepper soup from Iyabo Ojo’s restaurant in Lekki Phase 1 and they gave me 3 bones and I complained. Iyabo Ojo started abusing me, she called me to abuse me, she said that I am looking for cheap popularity,” he said.
“She said if that wasn’t my aim, why will I do that because I did a video and sent it to my cousin, Toyin Lawani to advise her friend that the service is going down. I have been buying food from Iyabo for one year and I have all my receipts here.
“Iyabo called me and started saying all things to me. She said I am poor, that’s why I’m asking for the second round, and then hung up on me. This is pepper soup of N7,000… can anyone buy this? It’s all bones. This is not nice.”
But addressing Isaac’s claim in a video via her Instagram page on Sunday, Ojo gave her account of the incident.
The Nollywood maven disclosed she instructed the manager of her restaurant to call and apologise to him immediately after the incident.
Ojo, however, revealed that she demanded that Isaac either request anything as compensation for the pepper soup sold to him or be reimbursed.
The actress said Isaac was later served a fish pepper soup.
Ojo, said she was infuriated when she realised that Isaac had already sent video of the incident to WhatsApp.
Iyabo called out Isaac for attempting to smear her reputation in the public.
“I really wanted to ignore this but I noticed a lot of people have been tagging me regarding the video Isaac Fayose made about my restaurant. I just want to clear the air for two reasons. One, for my darling customers and two, for those (my fans) who feel I need to address it,” she said.
