The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT,Wike Nyesom, has debunked a report that he acquired a N300m bulletproof car after his inauguration.
It was rumoured that the former governor of Rivers state purchased a bulletproof car worth about N300 million with number plate “FCT 01.”
However, while fielding questions from newsmen in Abuja on Wednesday, the minister denied such insinuation, claiming his vehicle is not bulletproof.
He furthered that he used a bulletproof while governing Rivers State but not anymore as FCT minister.
Wike said, “We can see what is going on social media; how they bought a bulletproof car of N300 million that I’m using. So, I want you people to go and hit your hands there [on the car] and see really whether it is a treated car.
“With all due respect, people should be careful not to destroy other people.
“When I came [into the office], the Permanent Secretary said they had a car for us. So, I have never approved any car to be bought and I’m not using an official bulletproof car.
“I have bulletproof cars as governor, but I’m not using bulletproof car as FCT Minister.”
