Femi Adesina, Former spokesperson to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, has responded to Bishop of Sokoto Catholic Diocese, Matthew Kukah ‘s recent comments.
This medium reports that Adesina stance was informed by the fact that Buhari administration refused to give preferential treatment to the clergyman.
It would be recalled that Kukah had badmouthed Buhari government, stressing that Nigeria experienced unprecedented corruption during his tenure.
Kukah who maintained that Buhari might not have masterminded corruption but his government pampered corrupt practices.
Matthew Kukah made this known while delivering a lecture in Ado Ekiti to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the call to bar of Aare Afe Babalola, the founder of Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti.
While responding to Kukah’s statement, Adesina took to Twitter and wrote, “Who listens to that Bishop again? He’s still bitter that he didn’t receive any special treatment from Buhari, unlike in the past. As it pains them, it brings us joy.”
