The French Cultural Ambassador in Nigeria, Ms. Emmanuelle Harang, has eulogised the Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for using state the limited resources to build a prosperous future for the state.
The French Cultural Attaché commended the governor on Tuesday, May 26 in Ilorin, when she visited to some of the ongoing projects in the state capital.
In company of Emmanuelle Harang during the tour was the State Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Abubakar Saddiq Buhari and the Management team of the Ministry.
Some of the ongoing projects toured were the Ilorin Visual Arts Centre, Ilorin Innovation Hub, the newly reconstructed Flower Garden relaxation centre, and Sugar Factory and Film Studio.
Ms. Harang, who was extremely pleased with the architectural beauty of the Visual Arts Centre, described it “as magnificent and a wonderful piece of work”.
She furthered praised the state government for “creating an avenue to nurture and promote local artists.”
The French Cultural Attaché, who was accompanied by Dr. Tunde Gbadamosi of Alliance Francaise Ilorin, maintained that the project would significantly speed up the progress of the technology ecosystem in the state.
In his reaction, the Commissioner said the tour was “a means to showcase the state progress in various sectors and promote cultural exchange between Kwara State and France”.
Buhari, who said Kwara State is a force to reckon with in the film industry, employ the seek collaboration between the state and France.
The Managing Director of Ilorin Innovation Hub, Temi Kolawole, in his remark stated that the Hub shows that the governor is highly committed to technological advancement and innovation, giving a breakdown of the project during the tour.
At the State Council for Arts and Culture, the Acting Director, Mrs. Adeola Olanipekun also highlighted to the delegation, the activities of the council.
To round off the tour, the Kwara State Drama Troupe entertained Ms. Harang and her entourage.
