Alex Iwobi says the Super Eagles would put in their best performance to win their friendly encounter against the Black Stars of Ghana.
The two countries will face each other at the Grande Stade de Marrakech on Friday.
It will be the first meeting between both teams since their 2022 FIFA World Cup playoffs, which the Ghanaians won.
Iwobi stated the reason prompting Super Eagles’ hunger for a victory against Otto Addo’s men.
“It’s a game against one of our rivals, a nation that is close to us, so we will give our hundred percent and try and to get a good result,” the Fulham star told the Super Eagles media.
Iwobi also spoke on the Super Eagles performance at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
“After the competition, we had to go back to our clubs because it was in the middle of the season. We didn’t have much time to reflect on the final defeat to Cote d’Ivoire,”he added.
“We want to continue with the form we showed at the AFCON and hopefully improve our performance.”
