The Young Progressives Party’s (YPP) gubernatorial candidate in Kwara State, Waziri Yakubu Gobir has bemoaned the level of infrastructural shortage in Ifelodun Local Government Area and other parts of the state.
The politician said the state is in dire need of aggressive infrastructural investments.
Gobir made this disclosure on Friday during a visit to the Elese of Igbaja, Oba Ahmed Babalola Awini Arepo III at his Palace.
The Wazirin Ƙasar Hausawa noted, “with my assessment, I discovered that the problem facing infrastructural development in Ifelodun is from the visionless leadership at the helms of affairs in the state.”
“It is only with the overhauling of infrastructures that can ensure a positive change in Ifelodun and I am ready to do that once elected as Governor. There are so many old hands that must leave for new ideas to emerge”, Aláànú Mẹ̀kúnnù expressed.

Gobir later visited Oke-Ode in continuation of his statewide campaign ahead of the 2023 general elections. He paid homage to the regent of Oke-Ode, Alhaji Kareem Owolabi where he shared his vision for Kwara and received royal blessings. In Oke-Ode, the cheerful multitude of party leaders and thousands of YPP members chanting ‘Aláànú Mẹ̀kúnnù’ – sang and danced to express their support for the YPP gubernatorial candidate.
While expressing appreciation to his supporters, Waziri thanked them for the endorsement and acceptability he has been enjoying in Oke-Ode and the state by extension.
