Member-elect, Ilorin East/South Federal Constituency, Hon. Aluko Yinka Ahmed has joined the christian faithful in celebration of Good Friday.
The newly elected lawmaker, therefore, enjoined the christian believers to follow in the footsteps of Jesus, who laid down his life for the world.
“On this dignified day of Good Friday, I felicitate Christians around the world, particularly in Ilorin East/South Federal Constituency.
“It’s another opportunity to reflect on the sacrifice that Jesus Christ made for the world when he surrendered his life on the cross.
“It is during this period from Lent to Easter Monday that Christians mostly exhibit the virtues of love, sacrifice, altruism and forgiveness as exemplified by Jesus Christ during His ministry on earth that spanned a period of three and a half years.
Also, Aluko expressed his pleasure at the unalloyed support enjoyed from his constituents.
“It is a day that reminds us that leadership comes with sacrifice, love and selflessness, and I am fulfilled with your love, understanding and support toward peaceful coexistence in our darling state.
He, however, vowed to effectively represent his constituents when inaugurarated as lawmaker in the 10th National Assembly.
“I hereby reiterate my pledge to make your voice my mandate and to bring a credible representative closer to the people of our darling constituency.
“Happy Good Friday and a prosperous Easter celebration,” he concluded.
