The hour-long rainfall that took place on Thursday night left the people of Sakama, Niger and Edun areas of Ilorin South Local Government of Kwara State with a horrible experience.
The heavy downpour which began around 10pm destroyed several buildings and properties of residents of the communities.
Speaking to the medium, one of the victims who did not want her name in print revealed that the torrential rainfall has uprooted the roof her of home, sacking her and her family from their home.
Recall that last year, around September, similar incident occurred at Harmony area, leading to the breakdown of the bridge connecting the community and Sango area of Ilorin.
The rainfall which led to heavy flood did not only sack house owners from their various homes but also came with irreversible economic losses and hardships as several fish ponds and farms were washed away.
