Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike on Thursday, has urged members of the public to disregard that he collapsed last week.
Wike said that the rumour that he broke down was the handiwork of “baseless” people trying to bring his image into disrepute.
He made the clarification during the inspection of the four ongoing projects in the FCT, including the International Conference Centre, ICC.
Posts circulating on X had alleged that the minister collapsed at an event on Friday in the FCT.
It was also claimed that the former governor of Rivers State was immediately conveyed to an unknown medical facility, where he received treatment.
But his media aide, Lere Olayinka, had refuted the reports, describing them as mere rumours.
