Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar revealed he personally visited Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State to put an end to the intraparty crisis on several occasions.
Atiku made this revelation on Sunday evening at a live discussion on People’s Townhall, a programme organised by Channels Television and its partners.
Speaking on the reason the internecine hassle has yet to be resolved, Atiku said, “I have met Wike two times in Port Harcourt, two times in Abuja, one time in London, personally.”
“It is not on my part; it is on the other side; I am waiting for him,” he noted.
Atiku attended the programme in company of his running mate, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.
Wike’s 2023 presidential aspiration hit a brick wall as he was defeated by to Atiku during the primary election in May.

It was widely thought Atiku would pick the Rivers State Governor as his running mate but former Vice President resorted to Ifeanyi Okowa to run on the presidential ticket with him in the 2023 election.
