Austrian-Nigerian music star, Rose May Alaba, has revealed that she has a dream of making the West African music genre, afrobeats gain recognition in German-speaking region.
Rose May, who is a sister to Real Madrid footballer, David Alaba, said this in a recent interview with Ameyaw TV.
The ‘Ibadi’ crooner maintained she is the afrobeats artist in Austria.
She said, “I was born and raised in Austria. It’s a very small country. I’m the only afrobeats artiste who brings that music [afrobeats] to this country.
So, I feel like it is my mission to make the african genre more known in the German-speaking region.”
Rose May furthered that the fact that Nigerians supporting the music gives her enormous joy, adding that she would continue to represent her African roots.
