Popular isese agitator Azeez Adegbola, fondly known as Tani Olohun who is now referred to as Adegbola Ifatimileyin, has vowed never to revert to Islam.
He made this pledge in an interview with BBC Yoruba on Monday, January 22, 2024.
Ifatimileyin swore that deities should take his life any time he accepted to practise Islam.
He clarified that he was not condemning Islamic religion because he came from an Islamic family, but he chose to embrace traditional religion.
The Isese faithful said that while his wife has embraced newly-found belief, he does not have the power to convert his mother to traditional religion.
Tani Olohun claimed that traditional religion has accorded him several opportunities, which he could not attract while he was still practising Islam.
Speaking on why the defamation charge against him was dropped, he maintained that he was not mandated to practise Islam before the charge was dropped, but he agreed to tender an apology to his litigants when released.
He furthered that the lawsuit filed against him has given him unsolicited fame and leverage, saying he has learnt to live with other faithfuls in harmony despite differences in their religious tenets.
He therefore described Isese as the best thing that has ever happened to him, stating that his life has changed for better since he embraced the religion.
