Erstwhile Grand Khadi of Kwara State Sharia Court of Appeal, Justice AbdulMuttalib Ahmad Ambali (retd) has passed away.
The 83 year-old seasoned jurist dies on Thursday morning at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH), Oke-Oyi, after a brief illness.
The erudite Ambali was the 2nd Grand Kadi after late justice Abdulkadir Orire, and pioneer Chief Registrar of Kwara State Sharia Court of Appeal.
His tenure as Grand Khadi lasted from 2001 to 2008.
According to the family members, the deceased would be buried at his ancestral home, Agbojulogun Quarters, Okekere, Ilorin, Kwara State according to Islamic rites.
