Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola has expressed his readiness to congratulate any team that wins the 2023-24 English Premier League title.
Guardiola made this stunning admission after their 5-1 win over Luton Town on Saturday, which saw the champions temporarily top Premier League table.
City now have 73 points with six games in their hands.
They are two points above both Arsenal and Liverpool, who may leapfrog City if they win their respective games on Sunday.
“For a few hours [we are top],” Guardiola told the BBC.
“[Sunday] they have to play; all we can do is win our games, and if we can not do it, we congratulate them.”
