Serie A club, Inter Milan has rejected Manchester United €40 million bid for their safe hand, Andre Onana.
United is looking to sign a replacement for their departing Spanish goalkeeper, David de Gea.
De Gea who has been United’s first-choice goalkeeper for over about 12 seasons, appears to be bidding English gaints a farewell when his contract expires by June end.
Therefore, Manchester United has made Cameroonian goalkeeper, Onana their top target to replace De Gea after launching informal €40m proposal.
The Nerazzurri had informed United that they would need a sum €60m to be able to do business with them.
The Milan based outfit currently need some funds to re-sign Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea on a permanent basis after the Belgian’s impressive performance for the Nerazurri last season.
Inter depend on Obama’s deal to finance Lukaku’s permanent transfer as they are considering a loan with a conditional obligation to buy.
Onana joined Inter Milan from Ajax last summer on a free transfer after rejecting offers from several top clubs in the European topflights.
Man United have not made a formal bid for Onana, but the will need to fork a significant amount of money to sign the former Ajax player.
