Italian goalkeeper, Buffon announces retirement

Former Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has retired from professional football.

The Former Juventus safe hand announced his retirement with an emotional video released on Twitter on Wednesday.

With emotional announcement, Buffon’s 28-year career has come to an honourable end after representing the likes of Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain.

Buffon ended his scintillating football career at his boyhood club, Parma.

Buffon captioned a video displaying some of his best moments with the caption: “That’s all, folks! You gave me everything. I gave you everything. We did it together.”

The excellent goalkeeper won the 2006 World Cup with Italy Buffon.

He hanged his gloves at the international level with 77 clean sheets in 176 caps and played a total of 1,151 professional games at club and international levels.
