Kano politician resigns APC membership

Naja’atu Bala Muhammad, a Director in the Tinubu/Shettima 2023 Presidential Campaign Council, has quit the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Naja’atu was appointed the Director of Civil Society for the Presidential Campaign Council of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

In a resignation letter forwarded to the APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, Naja’atu lamented the challenges currently facing the nation.

The sexagenarian cited poor living condition and social unrest as reasons for her resignation from partisan politics.

“The challenges that Nigeria faces today require me to continue championing the struggle for a better country with a clear conscience as I remain absolutely loyal to Nigeria”, she noted.

The freedom fighter, today, in a statement, said she left political space to advance her values and beliefs as she can no longer align with party politics.

Naja’atu further maintained that Nigerian political parties lack ideological bases and are “robes that politicians wear to serve their personal needs and interests”.

“I am committed to supporting individuals that are truly interested in addressing the root causes of our challenges. To remain true to such commitments, one must be willing to take bold and decisive steps.”

The politician expressed her frustration that the country still battles social violence, poverty, injustice, and lack of basic infrastructures and amenities.

Naja’atu stated the country’s challenges can only be solved through sincere efforts.
