Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda, revealed that terrorists were intentionally intensifying havocs on some communities in the state in order to force the government to negotiate with them.
The governor said this while briefing journalists on the occasion of his 100 days in office.
Radda, however, insisted that his administration would never open the door of negotiation for terrorists.
He furthered that his government would only grant amnesty to repentant terrorists, but woulnot be compelled to pay ransom to terrorists for victims abducted.
Radda added that his administration would collaborate with security agencies to stem the tide of criminal activities within the shortest time possible.
He stressed that about 1,500 youths from the seven affected local government areas were employed to work with security agencies to tackle terrorism in the state
Dikko Radda also continued that his administration has spent nothing less than 7 billion on armoured vehicles and security equipment to combat the menace of terrorism.
The governor, however, charged the public to be patient while the fight against terrorism is ongoing as the challenge had been existing for several years.
